Printed edition in preparation · Invitation to contribute

Independent expert perspectives on WiFi Quality.

The WiFi Quality Institute is preparing the first printed collected edition of The WiFi Quality Body of Knowledge. We invite qualified wireless professionals, researchers and practitioners to express interest in contributing an independently authored perspective for the volume's introductory pages.

The collection will bring together the Institute's existing foundational publications. The proposed expert section will provide space for informed technical viewpoints, including constructive questions and criticism.

About the Planned Printed Collection

This is a collected print edition of existing WQI publications, not a new WiFi engineering handbook or a replacement for the individual controlled documents. Source titles, identifiers, versions and publication records will remain traceable.

Foundational works

  • WQI-DOC-001 — The WiFi Quality Doctrine
  • WQI-FWK-001 — The WiFi Quality Framework
  • WQI-PRN-001 — The WiFi Quality Principles
  • WQI-TG-001 — Methodology for Real-World WiFi Quality Assessment
  • WQI-TG-002 — The WiFi Quality Scoring Architecture

Read about the Body of Knowledge and its constituent publications.

How the edition will be assembled

The controlled publications will be reproduced as distinct source works, with any editorial material — including expert perspectives — clearly separated from their texts.

Publication-status note: WQI-TG-002 is presently a Public Technical Review Draft (PTR-1). The printed volume's final contents and editions will be confirmed after the applicable review and editorial checks.

Call for Independent Expert Perspectives

We are considering a short section of signed professional perspectives in the introductory pages of the book. Contributors are invited to reflect on the challenges of evaluating WiFi Quality in real operating environments, from their own experience and without an expectation of endorsement.

No paid membership or sponsorship is required to express interest. Selection is based on relevance, professional experience and editorial merit, not on financial support to WQI.

Who may contribute?

Wireless network engineers, CWNEs and other qualified practitioners, researchers, professionals in network measurement, and specialists in assurance, conformity assessment or technical governance.

Relevant perspectives

Representative devices and locations, operational conditions, measurement reliability, evidence quality, user experience, the limitations of isolated metrics, and the distinction between technical validation and independent service-quality assessment.

Proposed contribution

A concise original text of approximately 250–500 words, attributed to the author with their agreed name, role and credentials. Critical or differing technical viewpoints are welcome.

Independence matters. An expert perspective is not a formal technical peer review, certification, accreditation or automatic endorsement of WQI publications. Contributions will be considered on editorial merit, with the author's consent required before publication. Relevant professional, organisational or commercial affiliations may be identified with the contribution where they are material to understanding the perspective.

How Participation Will Work

At this stage, we are inviting expressions of interest rather than requesting completed manuscripts. The Institute will share further editorial information with prospective contributors.

01

Introduce your perspective

Contact the Institute with a short professional introduction, your area of expertise and the topic you would like to address.

02

Discuss the editorial brief

WQI will discuss scope, length, timing and applicable publication arrangements with prospective contributors. Inclusion is not automatic.

03

Approve the final contribution

Any contribution selected for inclusion will be attributed accurately and published only following the contributor's approval and written permission.
