Open Technical Participation

Participate in the development of WiFi Quality.

WQI welcomes technical participation from engineers, researchers, academics, operators, vendors, practitioners and interested organisations worldwide. Core WQI technical publications are publicly accessible, and paid membership or sponsorship is not required to participate in Public Technical Review.

Ways to Contribute

Public Technical Review

Submit comments, corrections, counter-evidence or alternative technical interpretations when a WQI publication is issued for Public Technical Review.

Evidence & Reference Cases

Provide real-world cases, operational evidence or scenarios that may test the limits, assumptions or applicability of WQI methodology.

Research Questions

Identify unresolved questions, ambiguities, gaps or areas where further methodological development may be useful.

Who Can Participate?

Participation is not restricted to a particular employer, vendor, profession, country or membership category.

  • Wireless and network engineers
  • Researchers and academics
  • Network operators and service providers
  • Vendors and technology companies
  • Measurement, assurance and conformity-assessment specialists
  • Practitioners with relevant real-world evidence

How Contributions Are Treated

  • Technical input is considered on evidential and methodological merit.
  • Commercial affiliation does not automatically disqualify participation.
  • Material interests should be disclosed where relevant to the work.
  • Participation does not imply WQI endorsement, membership, certification or preferential treatment.
  • Not every submission will result in a change to a WQI publication.

Open Access Does Not Mean Uncontrolled Publication

WQI distinguishes public access and technical participation from document control. Official WQI publications remain subject to versioning, review, rights notices and the applicable governance process.

Expert Perspectives for the Printed Body of Knowledge

WQI is separately inviting expressions of interest from qualified professionals who may wish to contribute an independently authored perspective to the planned printed collection of the WiFi Quality Body of Knowledge.
